As a Senior Data Scientist with a strong background in Statistics, Machine Learning or Data Science, who aspire to be part of a Data Science AI/ML function in R&D. This role involves applying analytics and software skills for product development and process automation. Candidate must have proven experience in developing algorithms and designing digital solutions to solve real-world problems. Advanced knowledge in modern coding and data analysis methods is highly desirable. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals with a passion for applying AI/ML in the health-care sector. This role will be in Fort Worth, Texas and a typical day will include:

  • Bachelors, M.S. (preferred) or Ph.D. (preferred) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative fields
  • Proven experience in applying advanced quantitative methods to solve real-world problems
  • Willing to challenge the status quo
  • Advanced coding skills, strong learning agility, and good working knowledge of AGILE framework is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in Python, R, C++, and/or Matlab
  • Possess a team-first mindset, values diverse perspective, fosters collaboration, and thrives in a dynamic and cross-functional team environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams is highly desirable

What You'll Bring to Alcon:

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience

Preferred qualifications

  • PhD or Master's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or related quantitative fields.
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 5 years of relevant industry experience
