Based in our North American headquarters, you will work with a driven team of asset management engineers and software and database professionals to assist Mott MacDonald clients with business processes and software applications manage various types of infrastructure assets. Typical clients include government agencies at the State and Local level, and asset owners both within and outside of the United States. This is a fast-paced environment where team members fulfill varied roles as needed.

The main duties and responsibilities of the Senior GIS Analyst are to, under limited supervision, to consult with clients on GIS related aspects of the Asset Management problem including the use of GIS data and information within established systems and developing new or better integrations with other agency resources. The consulting work may include the development of GIS based solutions for the client or to help direct client resources to create and integrate GIS data and solutions in the client's environment.


Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Work independently and with teams and clients to successfully complete work
  • Supervise other Mott MacDonald GIS technical resources in project work
  • Work extensively with Linear Referencing utilized by the clients
  • Troubleshoot data, processes, and analyze workflows to identify issues and create, recommend, and/or implement holistic solutions
  • Leverage and maintain enterprise GIS, PostgreSQL, and Oracle databases
  • Aid in the development of automated processes and tools for the enterprise environment, internal staff, and clients
  • Work with established Asset Management solutions in the marketplace including Trimble AgileAssets, Esri Roads and Highways, Deighton dTIMS and other enterprise asset management systems and tools
  • Interact directly with clients, managing expectations, and, with limited input, seeing project tasks through to completion

To be successful in this position, you will need these required skills and attributes:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Information Technology
  • GISP Certification Preferred
  • 10 or more years of progressive experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Linear Referencing
  • Extensive Knowledge of AgileAssets Asset management systems
  • Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), Triggers, and Stored Procedures in PostgreSQL and Oracle Databases
  • Extensive Knowledge of the Esri ArcGIS platform and capabilities
  • Knowledge of relational databases and concepts (PostgreSQL and Oracle)
  • Knowledge of geoprocessing tools using ESRI built-in tools

  • Team and detailed oriented
  • Enthusiastic about sharing the value GIS can bring to projects
  • Willingness to perform duties outside of the basic job description and quickly expand skillset into new areas
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with rapidly changing objectives and priorities
  • Passion to stay abreast of GIS software trends and best practices
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office or similar products

Salary Range: $120,000- $135,000
