We are currently hiring a Back Side Coating Technician

Wage: $22.50/hr. + 10% shift differential

Shift: Monday-Friday, 2nd shift- 2:30pm-11:00pm

SUMMARY

Operate machine to apply Back Side Scratch Coating to lenses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duties

  • Ensure lenses are clean of dust and debris
  • Make sure lenses are returned to proper tray
  • Inspect lens for defects after applying coating
  • Reject bad coating on lenses
  • Help routing work in the AR-Preparation room

Secondary Duties

  • Maintain the machine clean inside and out
  • Cross trains on tasks from other areas of the lab
  • Maintain workstation and work areas clean and organized

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience

  • Experience in the Optical Industry as it relates to ophthalmic lenses is desired, but not required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Able and willing to work as a team
  • Must be able to work Overtime, Saturdays and Sundays and some holidays when needed
  • Able to read and write English Language well, Basic Math
  • Able to memorize large amounts of data accurately
  • Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time
