Nokia of America Corporation, Principal Software Specialist, (Multiple Positions), Naperville, IL.

SALARY RANGE: $145,463 - $226,673 per year

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)



Nokia of America Corporation, Principal Software Specialist, (Multiple Positions), Naperville, IL. Perform software design for call processing development supporting 4G/5G MME/AMF call processing architecture. Perform software coding in C/C++ languages for call processing development supporting 4G/5G MME/AMF. Integrate and debug development on call processing software using the 4G-LTE 3GPP standards, protocols (S1AP, Diameter, GTPv2) and interfaces (NAS, S1, S3, S6a, S11, S13, S16, Slg, SGs, Sv, SNMP). Integrate and debug call processing software using the 5G-AMF 3GPP standards, protocols (SBI, SCTP, TCP) and interfaces (N1, N2, N8, N11, N12, N14, N15, N17, N20, N22, N26). Support real time call processing needs for system running at or over capacity in a cloud system running Openstack, VMware, or Kubernetes. Perform call processing collision development, integration and testing at load on a 5G MME/AMF call processing system. #LI-DNI


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or a related field, and 6 years of experience (of which 5 years must be post-bachelor's, progressive). Or a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or a related field, and 4 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 4 years of experience with the following: Experience in two of the following: Cloud Development, MME development, AMF development or RNC development; 3GPP standards: NAS, s6a, S11, N1, N2, N14, and nNSSF; Telecommunications protocols and technologies in UNIX Operating System, GSM, CDMA, UMTS, IP networks and SQL; Programming in C/C++ and Python; 5G AMF call processing collisions handling, and 5G session restoration; and NSSF protocol for 5G.

Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Naperville, IL may be permitted up to 60%.
