The Director, of People Operations oversees the operational, compliance, policy and process planning, management, and people operations within the Human Resources department. The Director, People Ops will be responsible for leveraging data and technology to drive HR initiatives, optimize processes, project management and support the overall strategic people goals of the organization with a change management lens. The position will report to the VP, People Operations who has overall responsibility for HR Operations, Technology, Data and Reporting, Compliance, Policy, Projects, Change, End User, and Stakeholder Management.Main Responsibilities
  • Support efforts to ensure the productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of the People org
  • Liaise with Legal to oversee compliance on behalf of HR and the larger organization.
  • Ensures HR policies and procedures are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develops and streamlines HR processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness through agile/lean methodology
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and practices based on data analysis.
  • Identify emerging trends in HR data and operations to stay ahead of industry best practices.
  • Work with HR leadership to communicate HR data insights and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Build relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry experts to stay current on HR trends and technologies.
  • Coordination with international operations to ensure cross-company alignment.
  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making within the HR function.
  • Leads project and change management for People work streams
Job Requirements
  • A bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; A master's degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • 10+ years experience in HR data analytics, HR / systems management, and/or operations.
  • 2+ years of experience in an HRIS leadership role; strong leadership and cross-department collaboration skills are crucial for this role.
  • The ability to think strategically and align HR data and operations initiatives with the organization's overall business objectives is critical for success in this role.
  • Experience in managing large-scale HR data and operations projects, including system implementations, process improvements, and data governance initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of HR laws and regulations, data privacy laws, and compliance requirements related to HR data management and operations.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams, presenting data-driven insights to senior leadership, and influencing decision-making.
  • Experience leading change management initiatives related to HR data and operations improvements, including training and communication strategies to drive adoption.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Leadership of HR Operations staff.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
