Job Description
Responsible for effective delivery of training programs across the organization. Keeps abreast of various training delivery techniques, business processes, products and systems. Assists in the designing, managing, implementing and evaluating of training programs to prepare high quality and highly competent staff for meaningful contributions in the workplace.  This position will work with training programs such as new employee orientation, clinical orientation/training related to the Chronic Care Model, Utilization Management, motivational interviewing/self-management support, clinical modules, clinical staff competencies, and any new training initiatives.  This position will also work with and oversee the Training Coordinator to ensure successful execution of training programs in coordination with new clinic acquisitions.
 
Essential Job Functions
  1. Conducts training and education programs for providers, clinic staff, administrative departments, physician partners, and vendors as assigned. 
  2. Participates in a team that designs, manages, and implements staff development, medical management, and clinical staff competency programs incorporating appropriate adult learning principles.
  3. Leverages creativity and utilizes a wide variety of methods to present education and training programs.
  4. Provides strong coaching and mentoring to learners for specific behavior and skill development utilizing effective feedback and motivational support techniques.
  5. Follows plan for professional development and actively seeks out opportunities to increase expertise in health care education and adult training programs. F. Complies with approved corporate policies and procedures.
  6. Provides excellent customer service.
  7. Participates on committees, task forces, and/or work groups.
  8. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Required Education, Experience & Skills
  • LVN/LPN or CMA licensure or equivalent experience. 
  • 2 years in a primary care or specialty physician clinic; or experience in a health care insurance setting.
  • Experience using electronic health care software, such as authorizations systems, case management systems or an electronic health record.
