What you'll be doing...

Verizon is building a world-class Customer Experience Organization committed to excellence and innovation in every aspect of our customer's journey. The Customer Experience Planning and Operations Group enables teams to deliver superior customer experiences, by streamlining processes, driving operational efficiencies, enhancing performance metrics and ensuring financial responsibility.


We are actively seeking an Associate Director to play a pivotal role in orchestrating the planning and integration of new initiatives within a product operating model. This senior-level position is designed to lead a team of people who are responsible for crafting planning strategies to optimize operational workflows and project integration across time zones. Your team will be responsible for analyzing the scope of work, assessing impacts across teams, determining the level of effort required, assigning leaders, and establishing the appropriate level of funding required to support the work.


You will be responsible for ensuring your team orchestrates a seamless integration of critical projects, promoting synergy and alignment across departments. Your primary goal will be to develop and maintain an integrated ecosystem of excellence that simplifies how teams operate and collaborate on large complex initiatives. Your leadership will help sculpt an organizational culture that values proactive engagement, strategic foresight, and meticulous planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and expanding a team dedicated to operational excellence, ensuring approach to work aligns with customer experience strategies.

  • Planning and coordinating the implementation of new projects and initiatives within the organization.

  • Integrating the distribution of work across teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

  • Defining workstreams and activities required to support new initiatives, including impacts across agile teams.

  • Determining the level of effort required for successful completion.

  • Assign initiative and experience leads to provide guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle and ensure a seamless end-to-end customer experience.

  • Facilitating cross-functional alignment between team leaders and stakeholders across portfolios.

  • Confirming the appropriate level of funding needed to support project execution and resource allocation.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Four or more years of experience in strategic planning, program/process management, agency management, user experience design end-to-end lifecycle, and/or digital

  • Experience managing large complex projects involving multiple work streams and stakeholders

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of management.

  • Experience leading a team.

  • Experience with Agile software delivery environments.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • Portfolio, Product, and Project management certifications & experience.

  • A passion for data-driven methodologies and data analysis.

  • Advanced familiarity and experience with Google Suite, Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.

  • Familiarity using Smartsheets, Airtable, Workfront and other project management software.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work location, the compensation range for this position is between $123,000.00 and $228,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
