Controller
DFW, TX


Compensation: $130k-$140k + bonus DOE

One of Vaco's growing PE-Backed clients is looking for a collaborative and strategic leader to serve as their Controller. Ideal candidates will have their CPA, well-rounded accounting experience, and mentoring leadership style.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Oversee the month end close process
  • Manage cash flow, monitor banking activities, and maintain relationships with financial institutions.
  • Coordinate external audits, including liaising with auditors and providing necessary documentation.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Supervise payroll, AR/AP, and fixed asset depreciation processes
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies that support the company's growth objectives and long-term sustainability.
  • Lead and develop the accounting team, providing guidance, mentoring, and training as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field
  • CPA required
  • Public accounting experience highly preferred
  • Exposure to Private Equity is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
