Primary Function

APCOM's facility in Cookeville, Tennessee, manufactures threated tank fittings "spuds", pipe nipples, gas burner assemblies, and also stamps a wide variety of parts for the water heater and appliance industries. TheMachine Operator (2nd Shift)will complete training and perform operation functions in accordance with required work instructions for the position.

We Offer

Regularly Scheduled Hours:Monday - Friday; 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Hourly Rate of Pay:$19.52/hour (18.52/hour + 1.00/hour shift premium = $19.52/hour

Sign On Bonus Opportunity:$1500

  • $500 at 90th day of hire, $500 at 180th day of hire, $500 at 365th day of hire
  • Must not be on a corrective action for attendance to qualify for bonus payments

Responsibilities
  1. Complete training and perform operator functions in accordance with required work instructions for the position.
  2. Must be able to read, understand and run the production schedule
  3. Must be able to work with automated machinery and have the ability to perform troubleshooting tasks in order to increase machine up time.
  4. Must be willing to learn multiple operations and work in different areas as needed.
  5. Must be capable of walking and/or standing for the entire shift
  6. Must be able to perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to read, understand and run the production schedule
  • Must be able to work with automated machinery and have the ability to perform troubleshooting tasks in order to increase machine up time.
  • Must be willing to learn multiple operations and work in different areas as needed.
  • Must be capable of walking and/or standing for the entire shift
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Education
High School Diploma or GED
Years of Experience
Minimum of 1 year related work experience
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and with assistance
