VMI Specialist

Summary / Position Purpose:

The VMI Specialist will be responsible for Vendor Management Inventory account management through customer contact, data analysis, communications with outside sales team member and, internal departments.

Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:

  • Management of inventory at customer locations
  • Expedite, transfer entry, returns, cross referencing and sourcing product
  • Shipment tracking and receipt of pricing functions
  • Build rapport with both internal and external customers
  • Act as liaison between Outside Sales, Product Management, Warehouse, Accounting and vendor partners
  • Maintain knowledge of product offering and application through study of product materials and vendor training, customer service, etc.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in all daily tasks and communication to both internal and external customers
  • Manage time sensitive situations and urgent requests in a manner that drives the customer trust and confidence
  • Proactively anticipate and execute customer requirements and needs
  • Assist Outside Sales team in growing accounts and increasing sales
  • Analyze data and provide reports in a clear and concise manner
Qualifications & Experience

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in related field (required)
  • Proficient in the use MS Office with strong Excel skills including use of V Lookup and Pivot Tables (required)
  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Ability to clearly speak and write the English language
  • Ability to analyze data (required)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
