Mott MacDonald have been actively tracking the renewed interest in energy storage in North America and have been successful in winning a number of these projects in North America. Our project roles include design and planning roles as well as program management roles.

Mott MacDonald's experience in tunneling dates back to the early 1900s and has continuously worked on pumped storage projects for over 60 years. Our team of professionals provides cost-effective and innovative engineering solutions for North American hydropower and pumped storage industry with unprecedented success.

Due to our continued and sustained growth and success, we are now looking to appoint a Hydro/pumped storage Lead /Technical Director within the hydro and pumped storage market in North America.

This will be a versatile role, with the candidateundertaking a wide variety of project roles. The role will also add to our existing team to continue to win and deliver hydro and pumped storage projects in North America.

We are interested in speaking to qualified candidates at any location in the US or Canada.

Duties will include:
* Identify and provide strategic direction to Mott MacDonald's growing hydropower and pumped storage business across North America.
* Bring further awareness of our capabilities to the North American marketplace, building on our global pumped storage experience and leveraging our local complimentary tunnelling and other related discipline skillsets.
* Support efforts to expand knowledge of and interaction with lenders and financial institutions investing in pumped storage projects.
* Bring best practices and knowledge into Mott MacDonald's North American business by connecting with key subject matter experts worldwide within and outside of Mott MacDonald.
* Work closely with Mott MacDonald's Global Hydropower Practice Leader to help drive business development by leveraging your existing contacts with existing hydropower clients to identify future prospects.
* Develop a strategic recruitment plan identifying capacity and capability targets and recruitment tactics that will meet our growth targets.
* Mine current Mott MacDonald resources to develop hydropower enabling capability and capacity in recognition of the existing skillsets and relevant subject matter experts already within our Energy, Dams, Water, Environmental and Underground Infrastructure teams.
* Provide Account Leadership, Project Management and Technical advisory and oversight on an as-needed basis.


We're looking for an individual to join our team to lead this initiative and help us grow. We invite candidates with:
* Masters or Bachelors degree in relevant engineering discipline.
* Minimum of 20 years of experience with hydropower and pumped storage construction and/or advisory services.
* Experience in project and program management of hydropower and pumped storage projects.
* Proven track record in advisory services for hydropower and pumped storage projects.
