Summary:

This position is responsible for the overall managerial coordination of the physician office. Daily operations include management of personnel, operating budget, assists in performing front office functions relating to check-in and check out functions, organizes and standardizes office operations and procedures. The job requires a high level of flexibility, excellent communication skills and the ability to supervise and coordinate activities of the office staff, clinical personnel and business support. Patient focus is a critical element for this position in that good customer service is a priority for CCPN offices.

Education and Experience:

  • Five years experience as a medical office manager in a multi-provider office

  • Two years of college or equivalent experience

  • Must possess a basic understanding of general accounting principles

  • A solid understanding of coding and third party payors is required

  • Maturity to withstand pressure that may arise in relation to the public, physician or administration

Criteria for Differentiation of Practice Manager I and Practice Manager II Four of the five must be met:

1. Multi-provider - at least two full time providers including nurse practitioners

2. Office must see 3000 patient visits per quarter (not to include hospital visits)

3. Five years' experience as medical office manager or equivalent

4. Associates degree or 60 college hours

5. Supervise at least 6 full time employees
